Unboxing the Halo 3 Zune

Posted by Damion Chaplin in "Zune Hardware" @ 12:00 PM

"We were able to get our hands on one of the soon-to-be-released Halo 3 Edition Microsoft Zunes, and we figured you guys might be interested if we put it through one of our Unboxing Ceremonies. We did just that, and the results can be found in our Halo 3 Zune Unboxing Gallery. For those who haven’t heard, Microsoft will be making a special edition Zune available, with both the hardware and software featuring Halo 3-themed elements, to build up excitement for the impending release of Halo 3 for the Xbox 360."

The lucky guys over at Gear Log got there hands on the upcoming Halo 3 Edition Zune and decided to take some pictures to make us all jealous. Run over there and take a look for some drool-worthy pics. Anyone here hoping to get one?

Limited Edition Pink Zunes Revealed

Posted by Darius Wey in "Zune Hardware" @ 09:00 AM

http://zuneinfo.com/microsoft-zune/pink-zune-for-sale/

"For those of you who remember our post about the limited edition pink Zune, which was given has a thank-you present to the Zune team, and only them. If you were one of the people to go pink with envy and wished you could get your hands on one of these for your much loved wife or girlfriends, you are in luck! Apparently Microsoft has put 100 of these out in the wild, complete with a certificate stating just that. One lucky shopper managed to pick one up at Circuit City and has now put it up for sale on eBay."

Remember those pink Zunes? Apparently, Microsoft slipped a hundred of these limited edition devices out into the open. There's a catch, though. They're all in standard boxes (showing a brown, white, or black Zune), so Microsoft is playing a game of deception here. While one of these candy-coloured Zunes can fetch more than $249 on eBay, I can't help but think that a few buyers would be pretty peeved when they open the box and discover that they didn't get what they wanted.
