Cool Feature! Send Video Podcasts Wirelessly

“Here is a little known COOL new feature to the Zune Podcast support in the recent 2.5 firmware update. This feature is REVOLUTIONARY and I am surprised that it has not been blogged about before now, but you can now send video podcast episodes to other Zune devices using its built-in WiFi radio.”
Rob Greenlee of Mobilecaster has spotted something that I was completely unaware of. Adam didn’t notice either! Being able to send video podcasts via WiFi is a really cool feature that I’m only partially surprised Microsoft didn’t mention. Why only partially? Well, the other additions to the social features are all very cool and I think Microsoft wanted people to focus on how cool the additions to that were. I have a feeling, based on what I’ve seen, that the only thing people would have been talking about was how Microsoft gave us a feature that is of limited use since there are so few Zune users.
But that makes finding out about this now even cooler! It’s like a hidden feature and if you have any Zune friends then you can put this to good use.
